Newark Hill Academy

Clubs

A number of clubs are run by staff, volunteers and external companies after school at various times during the academic year. There are a variety of clubs available to children in Key Stages 1 and 2, as extra-curricular pursuits including: Boxercise, Feeder Soccer, Crazy Crafts, Change 4 Life, Newsletter Club, Photopgraphy, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Story, Karaoke, Maths, Archery, Multi Skills, Homework, Keyboard, Book Worms, Dodgeball, Dance and Handball club. Our current after school Club Timetable is available below (see below attachment).

We are thrilled to often have an overwhelming response to clubs. However, due to their popularity and limited numbers, we often have waiting lists for those children who would like to be involved but sadly cannot be in the first instance. If your child is keen to join a club already at capacity please do not hesitate to enquire at the office and put their name on a waiting list as places often do become available.

It is important that if your child wishes to retain their place in any given club, they attend regularly and notify staff, in writing, should they be unable to attend for any reason. Should your child be unable to attend on two consecutive occasions, without informing staff or sending apologies, their place will be allocated to the next child on the waiting list.

If you have any questions or suggestions please see our Club Coordinator Mrs Caroline O'Sullivan who is based in the Academy office.
