Welcome to our warm and friendly academy which celebrates the diversity of our community: all different, all welcome. Our three values of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility are ingrained in everything we do to ensure we have a consistent approach.

Pupils learn best when they feel safe and emotionally supported - this is paramount. We heavily promote pupil well-being and readiness for learning by ensuring our pupils’ physical and emotional needs are met. We have a dedicated Pastoral Learning Mentor who is available for any child when any need arises.

Learning is centred around our CHILD with clear intent weaved throughout. Whist the core subjects of reading, writing and maths are key to skills for life, we deliver high standards across all curriculum areas including two dedicated rooms with specialist practitioners in our STEM Lab and an Art and Design studio.

Developing the whole child equipping them for the future is key: We are a Microsoft Showcase School; we have the Careers Mark and Skills Builder Gold + Award which shows commitment for pupils’ life and employability skills for their whole school career and later life.

We pride ourselves on high standards, and you can see that in everything we do. You can witness this for yourself when you spend time at Newark Hill and get to know our academy family which includes Margot the academy dog guinea pigs and our chickens.
